Before communicating any personal data, Fidovet S.r.l. invites you to carefully read this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy"), as it contains important information on the protection of personal data and on the security measures adopted to guarantee their confidentiality in full compliance with the Applicable Legislation. 1. DATA CONTROLLER

With reference to the Applicable Legislation, please note that the data controller is Fidovet S.r.l. whose data can be found on the website on the Home Page and/or other web pages of the same.

2. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

"Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person with reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more characteristic elements of that person's physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural, or social identity.

Personal data collected by the website:

a. Browsing data

Computer systems collect certain Personal Data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. Information is not collected in order to be associated with you, but by its very nature it could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow you to be identified. These include the IP addresses or domain names of the devices used to connect you to the Site, the addresses in Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) notation of the required resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to your operating system and computer environment.

These data are used in order to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check its correct functioning; to allow - given the architecture of the systems used - the correct provision of the various functions requested by you, for security reasons and to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the Site or third parties. They are deleted after 7 days. In any case, this data is kept by the Data Controller for the period strictly necessary and in any case in accordance with the applicable regulations.

b. Data provided voluntarily

Through the Site, you can voluntarily provide Personal Data such as your name and e-mail address to subscribe to the newsletter service or to contact us through the "Contact Us" form or other similar services. Users are free to provide their personal data, but failure to provide them may make it impossible to obtain the requested service. Fidovet S.r.l. will process these data in compliance with Applicable Legislation, assuming that they refer to you or to third parties who have expressly authorised you to provide them on the basis of a suitable legal basis legitimising the processing of the data in question. With respect to the latter, you act as an autonomous data controller, assuming all the obligations and responsibilities laid down by law. In this regard, you hereby grant Fidovet S.r.l. the widest indemnity with respect to any dispute, claim, request for compensation for damages from processing, etc. that may be received by Fidovet S.r.l. from third parties whose Personal Data have been processed through your use of the Site in violation of the Applicable Legislation.

 

c.  Social Login

If you decide to access the reserved area using the credentials of a social network, (Facebook Login, Google Login or  Amazon Login), Fidovet have to acquire some of your personal data (First Name, Last Name, Email) in accordance with the authorisations you have given to the social network of reference. You are therefore required to check the settings provided by the social network of reference as well as to carefully read the relevant privacy policy, as the latter may authorise the social network to share your personal data with Fidovet, thereby authorising Fidovet to collect information such as your contacts, friends, and other Personal Data. 

The identification code associated with your account at the the reference social network service when you use it to log in on Fidovet or to share content hosted on the Site; it will be stored for as long as necessary to provide the requested services.

If you create an account on Fidovet or use services of the Site by connecting through social login, Fidovet may use the information contained in the source account to complete your profile on the Site. You can update or change your profile information and contact details at any time via social login.

 

d. Cookies and similar technologies

3. PURPOSE, LEGAL BASIS AND MANDATORY OR OPTIONAL NATURE OF PROCESSING

Personal Data that you provide through the Site will be processed by Fidovet S.r.l. for the following purposes:

a) purposes relating to the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (e.g., request for contact via the form Contacts or e-mail, registration for the newsletter service, etc.);

b) purposes of statistical research/analysis on aggregated or anonymous data, without the possibility of identifying the user, aimed at measuring the operation of the Site, measuring traffic and evaluating usability and interest;

c) purposes relating to the fulfilment of a legal obligation to which Fidovet S.r.l. is subject;

d) purposes necessary to establish exercise or defend a right in court or whenever the courts exercise their jurisdictional functions.

The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data for the purposes referred to in point a) is the provision of a service or response to a request that does not require consent under the Applicable Legislation.

The purpose referred to in point b) does not involve the processing of Personal Data, whereas the purpose referred to in point d) represents a legitimate processing of Personal Data pursuant to the Applicable Legislation since, once Personal Data have been provided, the processing is indeed necessary to fulfil a legal obligation to which Fidovet S.r.l. is subject.

The provision of your Personal Data for the purposes listed above is optional, but failure to provide them may make it impossible to fulfil a request of yours or to comply with a legal obligation to which Fidovet S.r.l. is subject.

4. MODALITY

1. Tools and logics. In relation to the purposes mentioned above, the processing takes place through manual, computerised and telematic tools with logic strictly related to the aforementioned purposes and, in any case, in order to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data and with your commitment to promptly notify us of any corrections, modifications and updates. Such processing may be carried out on behalf of the Data Controller for the purposes and in the manner described above and in compliance with appropriate criteria to guarantee security and confidentiality, by companies, studies, authorities, and external collaborators appointed as Data Processors and only in respect of the processing carried out by them.

2. Special categories of data.  None of your personal data at the Data Controller fall under the definition of "Special Categories of Data" of Article 9 of the EU Regulation 2016/679. If such data are transmitted to us by you, in the absence of your express written consent we will delete them immediately.

 

5. RECIPIENTS

Your Personal Data may be shared, for the purposes specified in Section 3, with:

a. necessary parties for the provision of services offered by the Site, including by way of example the sending of e-mails and the analysis of the operation of the Site that typically act as data processors of Fidovet S.r.l;

b. parties authorized by Fidovet S.r.l. to process Personal Data who have committed themselves to confidentiality or have an adequate legal obligation of confidentiality; (e.g., employees and collaborators of Fidovet S.r.l.); (a. and b. are collectively "Recipients");

c. judicial authorities in the exercise of their functions when required by Applicable Legislation.

6. TRANSFERS

Some of your Personal Data are transferred to recipients that may be located outside the European Economic Area. Fidovet S.r.l. ensures that the electronic and paper processing of your Personal Data by the Recipients is carried out in compliance with the Applicable Legislation. In fact, transfers are based either on an adequacy decision or on Standard Model Clauses approved by the European Commission. 

 

7. DATA RETENTION

Fidovet S.r.l. will process your Personal Data for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes indicated in Section 3. By way of example, Fidovet S.r.l. will process Personal Data for the newsletter service until you decide to unsubscribe from the service. Notwithstanding the above, Fidovet S.r.l. will process your Personal Data for as long as permitted by Italian law to protect its interests (Art. 2947(1)(3) Italia Civil Code). 8. YOUR RIGHTS

Within the limits of the Applicable Legislation, you have the right to request, at any time, access to your Personal Data, rectification, cancellation of your Personal Data, any objection to their processing, the restriction of their processing, and to obtain in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format the data concerning you.

Pursuant to the Applicable Legislation, you have in any event the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Data Protection Authority) if you consider that the processing of your Personal Data is contrary to the current legislation.

9. MODIFICATIONS

This Privacy Policy is effective from 25/05/2018, Fidovet S.r.l. reserves the right to modify or simply update its content, in part or in full, also due to changes in the Applicable Legislation. Fidovet S.r.l. will inform you of such changes as soon as they are introduced and will be binding as soon as they are published on the Site.
